Inaugurated in 1987, the Currulao festival in Tumaco is a celebration that seeks to rescue the cultural heritage of the South Pacific. This event, which includes dance, music, and theater, is an educational festival involving children, youth, women, and men from places like Salahonda, Barbacoas, and Iscuandé who promote their ancestral African culture.
