This area is key to biodiversity; it contains six National Parks (Tuparro, Sierra de La Macarena, Tinigua, Cordillera de Los Picacho, Sumapaz and Chingaza).

Natural parks

In the departments of Meta, Vichada, Casanare and Arauca visitors can explore virgin territories such as the Tuparro National Park and Caño Cristales, called the 'river of seven colors'.
