The Dique Canal

A swampy area with abundant birdlife, the Dique Canal is located near large tracts of land planted with oil palm, rice, and food crops. The channel connects Cartagena with the Magdalena (Calamar) river. Visitors can also go by water to cities like Zambrano, Plato (Magdalena), Magangué, Mompox, and El Banco (Magdalena).

NEARBY ATTRACTIONS AND ACTIVITIES

This city is an open-air museum, but has more than just culture and history to offer. Cartagena is also a traveler destination for beaches, water sports, and crafts, among other things.
