The theater is named after Amira de la Rosa, the writer who created the lyrics to the anthem of Barranquilla. A highlight here is the stage curtain, painted with vibrant colors to depict the legend of the caimán man by master Alejandro Obregón. Exhibitions, concerts, gatherings, festivals, and other cultural events are held in the theater.
