Herveo Tower is one of the 376 structures that supported the 45-mile-long aerial cable that connected Manizales to Mariquita from 1915 to 1968. The tower, known as Cable Tower, was the only one made of wood, as the ship that brought the original iron was sunk in the Atlantic by a German submarine during World War II. The structure measures about 164 feet in height.
