Visit Bolívar Square

The taste of a tinto (a cup of black coffee) is something special in Bolívar Square in Armenia, city’s main hub of activity. The mountains in the background, which posed a great challenge to the city’s first settlers in the nineteenth century, are now home to endless amounts of coffee. Two sculptures, “El Libertador” by Roberto Henao Buriticá and "A Monument to Effort” by Rodrigo Arenas Betancourt, are the centerpieces of the square.

NEARBY ATTRACTIONS AND ACTIVITIES

On the itinerary in Armenia: admiring the work of indigenous Quimbaya goldsmiths, having fun at coffee-themed amusement parks, and exploring local agriculture.
