Exploring the 'lungs of the world'

You are here

The Natutama Interpretive Center in Puerto Nariño teaches visitors about life underwater. “Natutama” means “Underwater World” in the Ticuna language. Here you can see pink dolphins, Risso's dolphins and manatees, as well as the pirarucú, a fish measuring up to 10 feet in length. You can also attend talks on how to protect the environment.

NEARBY ATTRACTIONS AND ACTIVITIES

On the itinerary for this region: viewing large water lilies in the Amazon and walking the streets of a town where there are no cars.
