The Cartagena de Indias International Film Festival (FICCI) is held every year in March. This event, which shines a spotlight on Latin American cinema, began in 1960, when it was held in the Teatro Cartagena and featured productions from 30 countries and artists such as Rita Hayworth, Jack Nicholson, and Bernardo Bertolucci.
Theater in the Barrios, a program that brings art to the whole city, is held every year.
Clive Owen and Roman Polanski, among others, have attended the Festival.
Nearly 120,000 people see the Festival’s productions each year.
