Simon Bolívar es Bogotá's most famous park, but the Parque Nacional may be its funnest, with its sports, shows and aerobics. It's also more accessible, since it's right on Ave. Septima, closer to the city center.
Today, this circus was performing, with a band playing nearby. Not far away, kids were playing roller hockey, while others played basketball, tennis and soccer. On Sundays, there are free mass aerobics classes along Seventh Ave., as well as roller derby practice. The park also has children's play areas. And, thanks to its hills, it's a favorite with skateboarders.
