Bogotá's mayor has suspended bullfighting in Bogotá's Santamaria Plaza. But the fiesta brava continues in other Colombian cities and towns...

And in the historic and handsome Santamaria Plaza, aspiring and active bullfighters continue practicing their passes, but only with imaginary bulls. The toreros are still hoping to be able to practice their art once again in Bogotá's plaza mayor, although bullfighting's days appear to be numbered, as it's banned and restricted in parts of South America and even Spain's Cataluña Province.
If you're interested in seeing bloodless bullfighting, ring the Santamaria Plaza's doorbell some sunny morning. The toreros will probably be there, practicing their art.
Best of all, entrance is free, although the guard will appreciate a tip on your way out.
