Is this person calling me an idiot or saying that the bus is full? Are they blowing me a kiss or pointing to the restaurant across the street? This one minute video on hilarious Colombian hand gestures will help any traveler slip smoothly into Colombian culture, making the locals jaws drop in the process.
Since I moved to Bogotá I´ve been fascinated by the subtle quirks of Colombian culture. Some of my Colombian friends say that I now know more local slang than they do! The thing that captivates me most about Colombia is its unmatched diversity. I use my blog to keep track of the astonishing variety of culture, food, nature, music, activities, hotspots, travel tips and everything else that I love so much about the magical wonderland that is Colombia. Despite its tremendous diversity there is one thing that everyone who visits Colombia agrees on; the friendliness and joy of the people is what most makes you want to stay.

Awesome slide show. We are preparing an extended trip to Colombia and I am going to bookmark your video and share it with my Colombian friends here so they can show examples of these in conversation. How ofter are you seeing these taking place in interactions each day?
