This is the land of the Arhuacos and the Kogis, native tribes who struggled valiantly against the Spanish conquerors, as well as the land of the beautiful natural pools of Quebrada Valencia. Santa Marta is famous for its natural beauty as well as for its archaeological remains at Ciudad Perdida.
