You are here:
Barranquilla is found in the north of the country on the Colombian Caribbean Coast, next to the banks of the Magdalena River. It is one of Colombia's most important and active maritime and river ports. It is also an important commercial, industrial, cultural and university center for the Caribbean region. Barranquilla has a dry tropical climate, characterized by vegetation that is well suited to the dryness and high temperatures.
Golf courses in this city, such as Caujaral and the Barranquilla Country Club, are known for their international designs by famous figures such as Northrop and Joe Lee, who base the vegetation of their golf courses around coconut palms, hawthorns and other trees typical to the region, creating an exotic and charming landscape. These courses are famous for their unparalleled landscapes, the exotic fauna in the surrounding areas and the strong sea winds which all combine to make these courses paradise.
Barranquilla: For those who love challenges.
For those who love a challenge, Barranquilla is the ideal city for making the most of the playing conditions, the view of the Caribbean ocean, the strong winds and the surrounding beauty.
