A good tour of the city must include a visit to the Museo de Antioquia, which is devoted in great measure to the work of Colombian artist Fernando Botero. Just outside the museum, a stroll around the bronze statues of the sculptures plaza rounds off the visit to the artist’s works.The Veracruz church was built in 1682 and renovated at the beginning of the 19th century.
The tour continues along the Carabobo passage in downtown Medellín Visits there include the Basílica de Nuestra Señora de la Candelaria, the Vásquez and Carré buildings, the Iglesia de la Veracruz, and Palacio de la Cultura Rafael Uribe Uribe.
Visitors may then go on to the Botanical Garden with its famous orchidorama. After that, a visit to the Parque Explora, dedicated to science and technology.
The tour ends at the Parque de los Deseos. It offers visitor ludical options for understanding astronomy concepts and their impact on water, enery, and communications.
