Medellín: Access Routes

The José María Córdova International Airport is located in the municipality of Rionegro, only an hour away from Medellín.

The old Enrique Olaya Herrera Airport is located in the center of the city and operates as a domestic terminal accepting smaller flights coming from all over the country.

The city is connected to other capital cities and other regions in the country by a good network of trunk and secondary roads. The department of Antioquia lies on the central and western mountain ranges and extends north through the valleys of the Atrato, Cauca, and Magdalena rivers to the gulf of Urabá.
