The Cartagena de Indias Convention Center counts with 30 years of experience, nowadays it is positioned as one of the most important convention and congress centers in south america.
Its privileged location over the Animas Bay at the historical center of Cartagena de Indias allows it to offer a unique mainframe for memorable memories.
From its opening on 1982, the Convention Center has hosted the most important events of Colombia, such as: XXII General IBD Assembly (1982), G8 Summit (1994), XVII General Assembly of the WTO (2007) and the VI Summit of the Americas (2012), among others.
The Convention Center counts with 215,278 sqf of versatile spaces for events with the highest international standards of quality. Its versatility allows it to attend events from 12 to 2000 pax simultaneously.

It has become an important meeting point due its imposing beauty.The Centro de Convenciones Cartagena de Indias is located in the Getsemaní district, outside the walled city. However, the distance between the two is short. It is a matter of exiting the city through the Puerta del Reloj and crossing the Camellón de los Mártires, a wide palm tree lined pedestrian walkway.
The building has a splendid view over the bay of Las Ánimas and the wharf of Los Pegasos.
The convention center has a grand salon for conferences for 2,000 people that can be divided into four smaller salons. Each of the smaller salons has four simultaneous translation cabins and a press balcony.
Additionally, there is auditorium for 1,200 people, four committee rooms, a conference room, several meeting rooms, a VIP room, and outdoor spaces for exhibits or trade samples.
