Tour: Bogotá surroundings

At short distances by land from Bogotá, the picturesque villages of the savanna of Bogotá may be visited, passing through traditional milk haciendas and flower plantations.

Towards the north, Zipaquirá is famous for its Salt Cathedral. Also to the north, the sacred lake of Guatavita is worth a visit. It was here that the gold-covered Cacique, or Indian chief, immersed himself giving rise to the legend of El Dorado.
