Molas, the region’s typical handicrafts
Urabá is color, beach, and a mixture of the cultures of Antioquia and the Caribbean Coast, all in a single place. It is the coastal region of Antioquia on the Atlantic Ocean.
You may arrive by land, sea, or air to enjoy the Caribbean Sea, with its exotic scenery and great cultural and natural diversity. Being the most important export region in the country for bananas and plantains, you may visit plantations in Apartadó and Turbo to get acquainted with the entire process of production, including shipping. You will also find excellent hotels that offer complete services for recreation, rest, and sports, cultural, and ecotourism activities.
Necoclí and Arboletes are municipalities located in the northern part of Urabá region. They possess beautiful beaches that preserve all their natural beauty. In Arboletes, unique sensations are experienced in the mud volcano, which is recognized for its medicinal properties. Finally, remember to buy molas, the handicrafts manufactured by the Indians of the region.
Beach in Urabá
Throughout Urabá, you can enjoy delicious dishes that use fish as the main ingredient, and you can lodge in comfortable cabins very close to the sea.
