The architecture of Guatavita is a mixture of Spanish colonial and modern styles that makes a walk along the streets, across the bridges and under the arches are something of a journey into the past. The little craft shops, the museums of indigenous and religious objects and the church of Our Lady of Sorrows should not be missed, because they are the key to the secret history of the place. The architecture, the church, the 17 little squares and the: Lovers´ Bridge are all part of the architectural heritage of Guatavita.
