  • We recommend comfortable light cotton clothing. Some places are very cold, others are temperate (temperatures up to 23º C on very hot days).
  • In Manizales, use cold-weather clothing.
  • For Los Nevados Nature Park use thermal, waterproof clothing, jacket, gloves, scarf and cap. We do not recommend jeans.
  • Sports shoes are useful – there are plenty of opportunities for extreme sports and ecological trail-walking.

  • We recommend that you take something for a headache, and something  for an upset stomach, in case a local dish does not agree with you.
  • If you are going to the Los Nevados Nature Park, you should have vaccinations for yellow fever, flu and tetanus  a week before you leave.
  • Take plenty of liquids during trips through coffee plantations or on ecological walks.

  • If you want to spend a night in the Los Nevados Nature Park, you will need to apply for a permit from the National Parks Office.
  • Use a sunblocker.
  • Insect-repellent is very useful during walks through the coffee plantations and other hilly areas.
