Pre-launching of International Tourism Day in La Unión, Valle del Cauca

The agricultural and industrial center of the northern part of Valle del Cauca, famous for the fertile wine grape producing soils bathed by the Cauca River, prepares itself for the pre-launching of International Tourism Day.

The event will take place on Saturday, May 9th, 2009 at 10:00 am.

The event will take place on Saturday, May 9th, 2009 at 10:00 am, and is being organized by Fundación Luna with the sponsorship of the Valle branch of Fenalco (National Trade Federation). The purpose of the event is to prepare the foundation for the official celebration of the World Tourism Organization´s (WTO) International Tourism Day.

Purpose of the event

With this event, the northern area of the department of Valle del Cauca will prove that it has easy access, beautiful scenery, good infrastructure, human talent, and a hotel community that aims at developing international events to promote the area as one of Colombia’s tourist destinations.

Location of the event

The event will take place at Los Viñedos Hotel, in the beautiful municipality of La Unión, situated at the foothills of the Western Range of the Andes Mountains, at a distance of only 40 minutes from Armenia.

Ministry of Trade, Industry, and Tourism; Valle del Cauca Tourism Department; mayors of the municipalities of the north of Valle del Cauca, Proexport, Acodres, Cotelco, Anato, Fondo Mixto de Promoción del Valle del Cauca, the hotel community of northern Valle del Cauca, and Tame and Easy Fly airlines.
