PROCOLOMBIA participated in the 25th version of Virtuoso Travel Week that took place in Las Vegas, NV from August 10th to the 16th. Virtuoso’s excellent platform gathered over 4,000 worldwide tourism professionals creating the perfect environment for networking between customers and suppliers who enthusiastically presented their tourism products and destinations.
As a member of the Virtuoso family, PROCOLOMBIA had the opportunity to meet with the world’s finest agencies to present our newest tourism campaign; Colombia is Magical Realism that aims to you suppliers and customers alike; the unique and magical experiences that can be lived in the country. strategic location, and exuberant beauty and nature were presented to hotels, cruise lines, airlines and tour companies who are rapidly increasing awareness and interest in the Colombian product.
Camilo Duque, Colombia’s Leisure Tourism Representative met with representatives from Mexico, Argentina, Chile, Ecuador, Guatemala, Australia, United States, and Canada, who have shown interest in multiples Colombian destinations. The country’s diversity and economic transformation are among the main reasons that have helped Colombia to positioning itself as a top-notch destination in Latin America.
The reinforcing partnership with several associates, such as Big Five, Avanti Destinations, Latour, Absolut Travel, Brendan Vacations, Ladatco Tours, Adventure Associates, International Expeditions and Abercrombie and Kent gained Colombia the place among the four “Highlighted Destinations” of 2013 during the Virtuoso’s week. PROCOLOMBIA has worked along side with these tour operators offering private familiarization trips to the country, reliable information, and overall support to help them to develop their plans and itineraries. Through the contacts made during the meeting, PROCOLOMBIA aims to strengthen its relationship within the tourism industry and exposed them to the unique experiences that can be live in the country showing first hand why Colombia is a Magic Realism to the luxury travel industry.
