The Virgilio Barco public library is one of the four major facilities of its kind in Bogota. The library is spacious and airy for reading, well lit inside, and with views out over the park around it.
Bogotá´s Cathedral is the most important Roman Catholic religious center, standing on Plaza de Bolívar in the historic center of the city. Its official name is the “Metropolitan Cathedral Basilica of the Immaculate Conception; and it was first completed in 1590.
This tourist attraction is a good place to see Bogota from above, take photos all round it, match the sun set and enjoy good food.
The park covers an area of 23 hectares with sporting facilities and attractive ponds - ideal for recreation
These towers are held to be one of the leading examples of 20th century Latin American architecture, designed by Rogelio Salmona, the epitome of Colombian architecture of the 1960s.
