The winners of these awards are elected through the votes of Internet users and a jury made up of relevant, prestigious personalities of the Internet world.
For this year’s Internet Awards 2009, the Association of Spanish Internet Users chose a very different format from the one used in past years.
Usually, the directors of the Association gave lectures and presented the awards. This time, the true characters will be the listeners, the digital youngsters who represent the nominated developments. They will explain the keys to their success.
The Gala Ceremony of Internet Awards 2009 will take place at the auditorium of the Secretaría de Estado de Telecomunicaciones y para la Sociedad de la Información (Capitán Haya 41), in the SETSI Salon, in Madrid, Spain, at 12:30 pm.
The Internet Awards have been convoked annually since 1997. Their purpose is to acknowledge people, organizations, companies, and activities that have contributed during the previous year, in a relevant way, to the dissemination, good use, and development of the Internet.
The Internet Awards are acknowledgements and do not entail any economic consideration; their character is international.
